This page describes some of the current software development (and other) projects that I am working on in the
UNM Division of Biocomputing. For a full listing of genomics-related resources available from Biocomputing, please visit the
Genomics Home Page, which also includes details of the various software packages and databases that I maintain.
Roadrunner is a chemical database and web application being developed as part of the
NMMLSC Cheminformatics Core. Roadrunner provides online access to the chemical properties and bioactivities of small molecules. The Roadrunner documentaion site is
here. It is intended that Roadrunner will be released as an Open Source project.
A system designed to integrate and disseminate gene annotation data. Currently under active development.
Biomed505 is a self-directed course providing an introduction to Bioinformatics and Cheminformatics as related to drug discovery. I developed the on-line exercises for the first section of the course, "Introduction to Sequence Analysis".
The MAPA Application is part of an experimental system that is intended to aid researchers in the analysis and interpretation of probe/gene lists obtained from microarray experiments.
GenomeDW is a parallel data warehouse supporting large-scale analysis of microarray data. It was developed in collaboration with the database group at the UNM Center for High Performance Computing (HPC). It implements a novel web services architecture and XML repository design, and runs on a parallel Oracle 9i Real Application Cluster at HPC.
The UNM Microarray Database provides a repository for data related to spotted microarray gene expression experiments. The UNMMD Application is a web browser-based user interface to the UNMMD which also provides some limited query and analysis functionality.
The code for the above projects is available here.
